Roof deck insulation is a high‑performance insulation system installed directly over the structural roof deck to improve energy efficiency, comfort, and durability in commercial buildings of all sizes. By creating a continuous thermal barrier, it reduces heat loss, controls moisture, and helps prevent condensation—protecting both the roof structure and interior spaces. Ideal for offices, warehouses, retail centers, and large facilities, roof deck insulation lowers energy costs and extends roof life.

Applies to retrofit projects only, installing roof deck insulation that raises the R-value from less than or equal to R-9 to greater than or equal to R-19, where the combined pre-roof deck and ceiling insulation R-values do not exceed R-30.
