Commercial freezers differ from residential freezers, because they are designed and tested for commercial operations where food is kept at specific temperatures in hot kitchen environments, with the doors being opened frequently. Energy efficient commercial freezers are on 20% more energy efficient than standard models thanks to additional energy saving components, which significantly reduce energy use.
