Virtual Commissioning (VCx) service is your no cost energy efficiency offering for small and medium-sized businesses offered by PSO. This service provides tailored recommendations to help you reduce energy consumption and lower costs while efficiently maintaining output. Participation is fast and easy with no eligible equipment criteria, fees, or enrollment paperwork.

We have teamed up with Power TakeOff, a team of trained Energy Advisors dedicated to analyzing your energy usage. Power TakeOff will identify energy-saving opportunities bundled with whole-building strategies specifically designed for your facility. Experience a quick and hassle-free way to gain insights into your building’s energy use without disrupting your daily operations.

How It Works

Here’s what you can expect if initial remote analysis suggests that you may benefit from the VCx program:

  1. Data Analysis
    Our team will leverage your 15-minute interval electricity usage data to assess when and how your energy is utilized.
  2. Customized Recommendations
    A trained Energy Advisor will provide a list of no- and low-cost strategies that you can implement to enhance your daily operations and save on energy expenses. Examples include:

    • Optimizing equipment schedules based on occupancy
    • Managing equipment startup and shutdown timelines
    • Identifying equipment setbacks to target excess consumption
  1. Impact Verification
    Your Energy Advisor will verify the energy-saving impacts and review your success with you.

 

Convenient and Efficient

All interactions will occur virtually, ensuring that no on-site visits are necessary. Communication will be facilitated through email and phone, making the process seamless and efficient.
