At Tulsa’s BOK Center, Energy Savings Take Center Stage

Business Lighting and Electronics

Tulsa’s state-of-the-art BOK Center boasts 19,199 seats in a 565,000 square-foot space. This modern marvel at the center of downtown is home to the CHL’s Tulsa Oilers and plays host to major concerts, family shows and other forms of entertainment.

As you can imagine, lighting a venue of this size is an elaborate undertaking, not to mention a costly one. But now, thanks to newly installed LED lights and fixtures, the BOK Center is poised to save half a million kWh annually. On top of the energy they’ll save, these lights are brighter, crisper and motion controlled, offering a dramatically improved visual experience for visitors.

For an added layer of savings, the BOK Center took advantage of PSO’s business lighting rebates to make their lighting transition a smooth one.

“The partnership between PSO and the BOK Center made the installation of new LED lights a success. PSO provided rebates to make the move to LEDs. These lights are another way we will keep the BOK Center at the forefront of arenas,” said John Dodd, director of operations at the BOK Center.
